SALES ASSOCIATE / CUSTOMER SERVICE REP REQUIREMENTS

As a Sales Associate, you cheerfully greet our customers and make them feel welcome when they come into our store. You are comfortable initiating conversations and motivated to help our customers to the best of your ability. By actively listening, asking questions, and utilizing your product knowledge, you are able to make recommendations and sell the appropriate products. To help keep our store organized and running efficiently, you will stock inventory, unload deliveries, maintain pricing labels, and arrange product displays on a daily basis. You also have the chance to take your tinkering interest to the next level as you learn the technical skills necessary to assist with device repairs. No matter what our customers need help with, you are excited to help. You enjoy customer interaction and playing an important role in our stores' success as well as your own growth and success too


Essential Responsibilities

Customer Service / Sales

  • Greet customers, determine needs and answer questions to the best of your knowledge and understanding.
  • Suggest add-on items, participate in retail store and commercial sales activities in order to achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Ask questions to identify potential commercial customers.
  • Operate computer/cash register to complete sales transactions with accuracy.
  • Answer phones professionally. Ensuring messages are relayed to staff and/or management.
  • Watch for loss prevention issues and advise management of any unusual activities.
  • Demonstrate a customer-first friendly mentality.

Technical

  • Install vehicle batteries, key-fob/watch batteries, perform tests and tech work.
  • Able to rebuild cordless drill batteries and other battery packs as needed.
  • Repair cell phone screens, iPad screens, and other devices as needed.
  • Replace other components on smartphones.
  • Cut vehicle keys and reprogram key fob remotes to vehicles.

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/equivalent and 6 months prior work experience preferred or equivalent combination of
  • Must have technical aptitude and have the ability to work smoothly with small parts (screws, cables, etc.) and tools.
  • Ability to make minor decisions and use good judgment within standardized procedures and practices.
  • Good listening and verbal communication skills with a customer focus; general knowledge of customer service policies/procedures.
  • Must possess and use organizational and analytical problem solving skills.
  • Ability to calculate simple math, percentages, ratios and algebraic expressions and read gauges.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
