  • Perform plant and seed production based activities with commercial crops in a laboratory
    greenhouse to support plant science research.
Common tasks to be performed:
  • Hand watering, fertilizing, and plant maintenance
  • Sampling, transplanting, pollinating, and discarding plants
  • Planting, harvesting, shelling, and counting seeds
  • Assist with data collection and plant performance observation
Skills:
  • Ability to perform all physical duties required in greenhouse operations under
    adverse conditions.
  • Greenhouse experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability and motivation to work in unsupervised situations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment and adherence to excellent stewardship practices
  • Ability to use MS office software and other databases efficiently
Education:
  • BS degree or equivalent in agronomy, horticulture or plant science related field or an associate degree with 2 years of experience in plant biology
