Quality Department Manager - Critical Power

POSITION SUMMARY
Our Critical Power Solutions Division (CPSD) seeks a Quality Department Manager to lead quality assurance activities ensuring our products and services meet industry standards, design specifications, and customer expectations. The role involves implementing robust quality control and assurance standards and procedures for all CPSD suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all quality activities of CPSD, prioritizing safety, employee relations, and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop and maintain CPSD's Quality Management System (QMS), Quality Standard Procedures (QSPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all product lines and service offerings.
- Lead and develop the quality team, providing training, cross-training, and continuing education opportunities.
- Create and maintain manufacturing check sheets and testing procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Implement quality control policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure supplier compliance.
- Maintain ISO-9001 certification and support external audits.
- Evaluate vendors to ensure quality standards and capabilities.
- Coordinate and resolve quality issues and customer inquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Assist in implementing product changes and cost reduction initiatives.
- Supervise Material Review Reports (MRRs) and coordinate resolutions.
- Manage the divisions calibration program and oversee administrative functions for RMA and VRMA processes.
- Develop an internal audit process for CPSD's Quality Management System.
- Prepare and manage staffing plans and budgets for the QA department.
- Generate monthly status and performance reports.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years in quality control and 5 years in management, or equivalent education and experience.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical/electronic controls, online quality signoffs, and test reporting.
- Expertise in quality control methodologies like statistical process control, Root Cause Analysis, etc.
- Familiarity with manufacturing techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, and ISO9000.
- Intermediate knowledge of relevant government and industry quality codes and standards.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MRP/ERP systems.
