Position Details

As the Chief Medical Officer/Provider, this position balances their time between 40% administrative duties and 60% direct patient care.


Loan Repayment Programs Eligibility

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Duties (40%)
    • Oversee and ensure high standards of medical practice within the clinic.
    • Participate in the training and development of our medical team.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop clinic protocols and formulary.
    • Provide leadership in maintaining comprehensive healthcare delivery systems.
    • Support the Patient Centered Medical Model (NCQA) of patient care in our clinic, including integrated medical, behavioral health and prevention services.
    • Engage in strategic planning and policy development with the agency administrative management team to implement quality, comprehensive patient care services.
  • Direct Patient Care (60%)
    • Deliver comprehensive, culturally competent physician care in a family medicine/community health center environment.
    • Elicit detailed patient histories, conduct thorough physical examinations, and provide diagnoses and treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs and specialty referrals as indicated.
    • Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly, utilizing our electronic health record system.
    • Coordinate medical, pharmacy, labs, imaging and referrals and follow through for patient care.
    • Provide compassionate counseling to patients and their families, addressing medical concerns and promoting overall well-being.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Medicine and Residency Program.
  • Current licensure to practice in the State of Washington.
  • Board eligibility in the respective specialty (Board certification is a plus).
  • Previous experience in community health settings and working with diverse populations is preferred.
