Description

The Driver is responsible for driving the company truck from the Harrisburg location to other Classic Rock sites and suppliers to pick up and deliver materials. This position requires a person that is independent yet can work with a team, fast, and self-motivated.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Pick up, deliver, load and unload materials and supplies between Harrisburg and other Classic Rock locations and suppliers.
  • Ensure all pick-ups and deliveries are the proper quantity and material.
  • Maintain precise records of pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Accurately complete all required forms, receipts, and documents.
  • Perform daily inspection of assigned Company truck(s).
  • Ensure loads are properly and safely secured.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance such as cleaning and fluid checks.
  • Promptly report any mechanical problems on trucks.
  • Operate forklift to move, load, and unload material.
  • Maintain positive customer service relations with suppliers and customers.
  • Maintain a clean driving record, CDL, and DOT physical card.
  • Communicate with the Production Manager and other shift leaders to share concerns and other necessary information.
  • Ability to safely operate company trucks, while seated for possible long periods of time.
  • Uphold Classic Rock's core values.
  • Perform other duties to support the Company goals and mission and/or as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and/or Management.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum of one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety policies, road signs, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position will require the following physical activities on a regular basis: Standing, sitting, walking, talking, hearing, and handling material. The maximum amount of weight required to be lifted will be up to 150 pounds. There are no special vision requirements other than those required to hold CDL.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Indoors and outdoors. The typical noise level for this job indoors is moderate.
