Two Circles is a fast-growing integrated sports marketing agency. We work with some of the world’s biggest sports organizations, including the NFL, Premier League, Wimbledon and IOC, and have four times been named Sport Industry Agency of the Year.

We have a team of 600 Two Circlers operating from eight offices across the world (Melbourne, London, New York, Kansas City, Miami, Los Angeles, Paris and Bern) who work cross-region to service our expanding international client base.

Two Circles’ Content team maximizes the impact of sports content through content strategy consultancy, multi-format content production and channel management. Services include creative and video content production, digital marketing campaigns, strategy, insights, full management of digital and social media platforms and commercialization of digital platforms.

We are looking to hire a Client Lead to join our talented and growing content team in North America. The ideal candidate will know the European soccer landscape - its teams, players and commercial structure – and social media inside out, be a fantastic communicator and manager, and have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of platforms and emerging digital trends.

CLIENT LEAD, NORTH AMERICA

This is a unique and exciting role to help alter the social landscape in the US and to play a key role in shaping the rapid expansion of the Two Circles Content capability in North America.

We are looking for a social media expert to lead a new project for one of our longstanding European soccer clients, as we look to help them grow their audience in the US. This person should have a strong depth of knowledge and fandom of soccer in general across men’s and women’s (other sports are a bonus), be comfortable devising and delivering high-level content strategies and campaigns on behalf of some of the world’s biggest sports properties and being answerable to performance on a day-to-day basis. They should be organized, proactive and accountable, empowering our team to deliver daily results while remaining dialled in on our long-term goals and aspirations. We want a fantastic communicator, a discerning and empathetic manager, and an awesome team player.

The ideal candidate is comfortable presenting to and managing client relationships, managing a team of 3-4 people, and proactively planning for and navigating challenges as they arise.

We are expecting this to be an in-office position.

ROLE SUMMARY

  • Managing or co-managing several premier sports properties in social media content strategy and channel management with the ultimate goal of audience growth, direct fan relationships and brand affinity.
  • Formulating and executing a multi-platform content strategy for said clients along with senior leadership and delivering against ambitious key measurement indicators
  • Managing and motivating a pan-regional team to consistently deliver on targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Planning and executing content campaigns around tentpole moments of the year in a busy calendar.
  • Ensuring our content stands out and attracts engagement in a crowded space
  • Forging a distinct and appropriate tone of voice across our platforms, always with sensitivity to the clients’ brand and principles
  • Helping clients to leverage existing high-profile talent relationships and ideate on new features, content strands and collaborations
  • Working closely with our wider content team to drive innovation and creativity on all our social accounts, always striving to improve performance
  • Identifying opportunities for appropriate collaborations on our accounts with social platforms, leagues, clubs, broadcasters, sponsors and creators
  • Building strong relationships with the platforms and keeping up-to-date with new products and services as well as tech and algorithm changes
  • Working closely with our insights team to consistently monitor and tweak output with a view to improving performance
  • Researching, reporting, presenting for internal and external requirements
  • Running paid media campaigns on the platform
  • Developing strong relationships with other areas of the Two Circles business as well as the wider Content Capability in multiple locations globally

Requirements

The ideal candidate has:

  • Consummate knowledge of the social media landscape in the US to ensure our content shines on every platform
  • Strong knowledge of soccer (especially European and American professional soccer).
  • Exceptional client management skills
  • A proven track record of minimum 5 years in successful content creation across social media
  • Confident creating and executing comprehensive content strategies to deliver ambitious goals against KPIs
  • A commitment to creative innovation across all facets of our output
  • Comfortable working to brand guidelines and tight deadlines
  • The dedication to be a real team player who inspires and empowers those around them
  • A knowledge of production best practice, including the creative and video production landscape and technology
  • Strong content insights knowledge to constantly inform and tweak performance
  • Excellent presenting skills, both for existing clients and pitching to potential new ones
  • A firm grasp of paid media and how and where it can aid growth
  • Experience in new business conversations and identifying opportunities to help us scale our business.
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) is highly valued in this candidate, though not a requirement.
  • A proactive willingness and ability to work certain evenings or weekends that match European soccer schedules.
  • An ability to multi-task across projects and independently time manage.
  • Experience managing people and helping shape their path towards career progression.
