This position plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for guests and staff by keeping the venue clean, sanitized, and orderly. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during late-night hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Sanitizing:
    • Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors.
    • Regularly clean and maintain bar areas, dance floors, VIP sections, and other common areas.
    • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed throughout the night.
    • Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including door handles, counters, and railings.
  • Floor Maintenance:
    • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as needed to ensure a clean and safe environment.
    • Spot-clean spills and debris immediately to prevent hazards.
    • Buff and polish floors where applicable.
  • Restocking Supplies:
    • Ensure restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies, including toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
    • Replenish cleaning supplies and materials as needed throughout the shift.
    • Keep track of inventory and notify the manager when supplies are low.
  • Waste Management:
    • Properly dispose of trash and recyclables according to club procedures.
    • Assist with the removal of large waste items or broken equipment as necessary.
    • Ensure all trash areas are clean and free of debris at the end of each shift.
  • General Maintenance:
    • Report any maintenance issues, such as broken fixtures or equipment, to the Facility Manager.
    • Assist in setting up and breaking down events, including moving furniture and equipment as needed.
    • Perform minor repairs, such as changing light bulbs or fixing minor plumbing issues, if qualified.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Follow all health and safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
    • Ensure that all cleaning chemicals are used and stored properly according to safety guidelines.
    • Maintain awareness of the nightclub’s evacuation and emergency procedures.

Key Competencies:

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to notice and address cleanliness issues promptly.
  • Dependability: Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Efficiency: Ability to work quickly and effectively, particularly during high-traffic periods.

  • Experience: Prior experience in janitorial or sanitation work is preferred but not required.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Availability: Must be available to work late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced nightclub environment with high levels of noise and low lighting.
  • Frequent interaction with nightclub guests and staff.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks.
