PROJECT ENGINEER

Location: Rock Hill, SC

Pay: $75k - $80k

Position Type: Full-time, permanent position

Our team at The Recruiting Pros is conducting a search for a Project Engineer for a large manufacturing company in the Rock Hill, South Carolina area.

In this position, you will use your project management skills to prepare designs, create specifications, and be the driving force to see your projects from concept to production.

Routine responsibilities will require you to:

  • Be a major player in multi-departmental project teams and provide technical support to Marketing, Production and Aftermarket functions regarding your products.
  • Work with CAD designers and internal personnel to develop new products in conformance with project objectives.
  • Manage projects in terms of product performance, safety, total product cost and within the allotted time period.
  • Create and maintain the products Bill of Material while in development.
  • Maintain any applicable drawings related to your projects.
  • Prepare and maintain theoretical design calculations and supporting materials for products designed.
Required Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering is required
  • 1-2 years as a Product Engineer in construction equipment product development
  • 1 - 2 years of prior project management experience
  • Familiarity with electric or diesel driven compressors or generators
  • Prior experience working with portable energy equipment is a definite plus
  • Good command of 3-D CAD software is required; Autodesk Inventor is preferred
  • Proven track record of leading teams
  • Other software skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required
  • Committed to accuracy and detail
  • Must have a proven track record of positive results
  • Must be customer-oriented
  • Good command of English is required; other languages are a plus
