Job Purpose

As a skilled Bilingual Human Resource Generalist, you will be joining a dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a pivotal member of the organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting our workforce and fostering a positive work environment.

The HR Generalist coordinates employee benefit administration, ISO responsibilities and plant-wide employee relations as well as maintains leave of absence, unemployment claims, workers compensation and will work closely with corporate COEs. The generalist supports the Human Resources Manager in a variety of human resource initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fluent Spanish speaking, able to work closely with a large Spanish speaking population.
  • Consistently demonstrates both a friendly and high level of professional behavior.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, demonstrating empathy and understanding in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to correctly interpret and apply company policies; provide timely, accurate responses to employee inquiries.
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, training, and be a go-to on Bren-Tronics policies and procedures.
  • Support payroll processing and resolve any discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Conduct legal, effective investigations as assigned.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of confidential employee files, information, records and reports.
  • Maintain/update employee information in HRIS systems.
  • Assist with annual benefit enrollment.
  • Update and develop job descriptions.
  • Facilitate with filing EEO-1, Affirmative Action, Vet-4212 and OSHA reporting annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to regulation.
  • Participates in HR staff meetings and attends other meetings as required/scheduled.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations/laws.
  • Coordinate production associate leave of absence and short-term disability program.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation Range: $70,000 to $90,000 a year.

Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Labor Relations or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 4 + years of in a human resources generalist position.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing facility a plus.
  • Able to work on multiple projects concurrently and can prioritize.
  • Experience with leave management, applicant tracking systems, HRIS systems and online recruitment.
  • Ability to quickly establish a relationship with all staff as being a support when needed.
  • Interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Able to write clear emails focusing on pertinent information.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

General Job Requirements

  • The candidate must be able to work in an office environment and operate office equipment.
  • Ability to move through three manufacturing buildings.
  • Ability to bend, sit, stand, reach and operate office equipment and on occasion lift to 15 lbs.
