As an integral part of our team, you will have the opportunity to support various departments, tackle new challenges, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our organization.

Your day as a Operations Assistant

As a new Operations Assistant at the International Institute of St. Louis, you can expect to dive into various tasks that keep our organization running smoothly. This full-time role follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm, offering you a predictable work routine while still keeping you engaged with different challenges every day. Get ready to embrace a dynamic role where your problem-solving skills and attention to detail will be put to good use


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting the Operations Manager with maintenance issues around campus.
  • Taking inventory and ordering office supplies as needed.
  • Review daily work order and conference room set-up requests.
  • Perform various housekeeping and grounds duties.
  • Check and clean exterior grounds.
  • May use agency vehicles for pickups and deliveries.
  • Serve as a backup receptionist.
  • Help distribute mail internally and collect internal mail to be sent out.
  • Set up meeting rooms according to the layouts provided for each meeting
  • Coordinate with cleaning team to have rooms cleaned after each event
  • Perform other appropriate duties as required.

  • Basic PC skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of prior experience is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to perform the physical requirement of the job, including lifting a minimum 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending and the use of ladders.
