Job Summary: Servers are responsible for guiding guests through food and beverage offerings, taking and delivering accurate orders, checking in to ensure satisfaction, and process payments. Servers must be capable of working as a part of a team, maintaining a clean section, completing sidework as assigned, adhere to all safety standards, and attend any required meetings and trainings.

Responsibilities:


  1. Greet guests upon arrival and seat them at the appropriate tables.
  2. Present menus and inform guests about daily specials.
  3. Have complete knowledge of all food and beverage offerings.
  4. Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and communicate them to the kitchen and bar staff in a timely manner.
  5. Provide recommendations and suggest pairings to enhance the dining experience.
  6. Deliver all food and beverages to guests, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and presentation.
  7. Anticipate guest needs and respond quickly to all requests.
  8. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address and concerns or issues.
  9. Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit card transactions.
  10. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including but not limited to tables, chairs, and the server alley.
  11. Collaborate with other team members to provide seamless service and contribute to a positive and welcoming work environment.
  12. Adhere to all food safety and sanitations guidelines to ensure the health and safety of guests and other employees.
  13. Adhere to all company policies, including uniform standards, attendance, and punctuality.
  14. Attend meetings and training sessions as required to stay informed about menu changes, service standards, and company policies.
Requirements:


  1. Previous experience as a server or host preferred, but not required.
  2. Obtain and maintain a valid State Alcohol Certificate through Responsible Beverage Service Training Nebraska. You must present evidence of a valid certificate before or on your first day of employment.
  3. Obtain and maintain a valid City Alcohol Permit through Responsible Beverage Service Training Nebraska. You must present evidence of a valid permit before or on your first day of employment.
  4. Obtain and maintain a valid Food Handlers Permit through the Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department. You must present evidence of a valid permit before or on your first day of employment.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Ability and passion to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively and efficiently.
  8. Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash.
  9. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  10. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  11. Ability to see, hear, stand, walk, lift and carry various items for prolonged periods of time.
  12. Must be at least 19 years of age and have legal authorization to work in the United States.
