Quality Assurance Lab Technician

The Davlyn Group is a leading US-based manufacturer of technical textiles specializing in engineered high-temperature products that help keep heat in its place, improve safety, and increase productivity. The Davlyn Group is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Lab Technician. This role is responsible for testing Norfab-Amatex’s (a Davlyn Company) products to industry-specific requirements and ensuring product quality in manufacturing. The QA Lab Technician will also be involved with monitoring quality metrics and maintaining our quality system documentation (production and inspection procedures and product specifications). Infrequently, the QA Lab Technician may have to fill in at final inspection for production. The ideal candidate will become viewed as a collaborative partner for both production and R&D.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform product specification testing to ensure production is meeting product quality and performance requirements.
- Perform in-process and final inspection for production. Enter test data for regular reports.
- Maintain historical test results.
- Perform environmental testing, as needed, and maintain production logs for environmental reporting.
- Track and report product quality issues. Review quality data to help identify improvement actions.
- Support product approval process by testing products to industry-specific and company-internal requirements.
- Maintain and provide access to Quality reference materials, consisting of product standards and production documentation, design folders, customer specifications, sampling, defect guides, and materials testing.

Position Requirements
- Experience in Quality Assurance within manufacturing is ideal.
- Experience in Test Lab is preferred.
- Experience in Textiles is preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of Associates Degree, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
- Thoroughness and Attention to detail.
- Good communication.
- Analytical skills.
- Good Computer skills and working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.

- Movement/lifting of light material or equipment (typically less than 20 pounds).
