Position Summary: Our Dermatology department has an opening for a part-time Medical Assistant/Scribe. This position will be for our Provo locations. Must be able to work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 7 am - 5 pm. Come join our positive, fun, interesting, and fast-paced medical environment. If you enjoy making a significant contribution to patient care and are quick and thorough, you will enjoy this position.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist with patient care examination and related tasks
  • Escorts patients to examination rooms, interviews patient and ensures all pertinent information is recorded in the patient chart and available to the provider.
  • Works with insurance companies and pharmacies as needed for prior authorizations.
  • Ensures exam rooms are properly cleaned and stocked with needed supplies and equipment.
  • Cleans and sterilizes instruments following clinic policy and procedures.
  • Calls results and relays messages to patients as indicated by a provider in a prompt and courteous manner. 
  • Creates and maintains tasks and documents for all patient interactions.
  • Call/Fax/eScribe prescriptions per provider instructions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred but not required. 
  • Must have outstanding customer service, organization, and attention to detail. 
  • Must also be a self-starter, team player, dependable, friendly and professional.
  • • Be able to multi-task and work efficiently. 
  • CPR certification required upon hire

 

Hours: Tues, Wed, Thurs 7 am - 5 pm
