Job Title: Senior Janitorial Supervisor (Owner’s Representative)

Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Senior Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of janitorial staff to ensure that buildings, facilities, and grounds are maintained in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. This role involves scheduling, training, and inspecting the work of janitorial staff, as well as performing administrative tasks related to staff management and facility maintenance. The Senior Janitorial Supervisor ensures compliance with health and safety regulations and maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership:
    • Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of janitorial staff.
    • Assign tasks, prepare work schedules, and ensure proper staffing levels.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
    • Facilitate training and development programs for janitorial staff.
  • Operational Management:
    • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
    • Inspect facilities to ensure they meet established standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
    • Coordinate and oversee special cleaning projects and seasonal work.
    • Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain records of inventory, equipment, and supplies.
    • Prepare and submit reports on staff performance and facility conditions.
    • Manage budgets related to janitorial operations and control expenses.
    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
    • Conduct regular safety training and drills for janitorial staff.
    • Address and resolve any safety concerns or hazards in a timely manner.
  • Customer Service:
    • Respond to and resolve complaints or issues related to janitorial services.
    • Communicate effectively with building occupants and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in janitorial services or management preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in janitorial services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks and operate cleaning equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning and maintenance.

Working Conditions:
