Responsibilities:
  • Perform machine setups for production runs on injection molding, thermoforming, and extrusion equipment, ensuring all necessary materials and tools are available
  • Operate plastic processing machinery and equipment according to established procedures and food-grade safety guidelines
  • Monitor production processes, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency in plastic packaging manufacturing
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues that may arise during production, performing minor repairs or requesting assistance from maintenance technicians as necessary
  • Inspect finished plastic packaging products to ensure they meet quality standards and food-grade packaging requirements
  • Package finished products for shipment or distribution, following proper labeling and documentation procedures for food and beverage packaging
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and sanitation regulations specific to food-grade packaging production
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines in our fast-paced, growing environment
  • Document production data and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel
  • Assist in implementing process improvements and new product developments as our company grows
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in machine setups for plastic production runs, particularly in injection molding, thermoforming, or extrusion processes
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills related to plastic processing equipment
  • Packaging experience, including knowledge of labeling and documentation procedures for food and beverage products
  • Familiarity with food-grade manufacturing standards and quality control procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt to a growing, dynamic company
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in plastics processing is a plus
