Machine Operator I

As a Machine Operator I at American Air Filter International, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate equipment and perform tasks in assigned work-station in accordance with company procedures and practices.
- Accurately setup assigned work-station equipment daily and complete assigned operations efficiently and effectively to meet production schedules.
- Report any issues affecting production to supervisor and troubleshoot/resolve workstation equipment production issues.
- Safely load raw material into position for production of quality compliant goods.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area following 6's standards.
- Perform quality checks on parts produced to maintain quality compliant parts.
- Participate and drive 6's, Lean, Quality and safety initiatives.
- Perform daily, monthly, yearly TPM checks.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior work experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Must be able to read and understand instructions.
- Must have ability to read tape measure.
- Ability to work at other stations at any given time.
- Ability to keep machines in satisfactory performance status.
- General knowledge of hand tools, general mechanical items.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- May be required to lift up to approximately 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand at workstation for a long period of time.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes and dust particles.
- Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
- Must be able to withstand both hot and cold atmosphere depending on weather conditions.
