.Camp Bow Wow San Diego, located at 3146 Sports Arena Blvd San Diego CA 92110, is seeking an entry level communication and marketing person that will also be actively involved with the dogs in our care.
This role is split between caring for/interacting with dogs at camp and communications via newsletters, social media and community events.
The ideal candidate must enjoy working with dogs, as well as being versed in social media, communications and event marketing.
Primary Responsibilities
Interact with dogs in our care by monitoring them in the yards, capturing and creating social media content, and leading dog enrichment activities at camp.
Produce newsletters, social media posts (FB, IG, TikTok), and other outreach materials.
Secure and attend marketing events in the local community to educate the public about our services and generate new leads.
Build mutually beneficial relationships with local vet hospitals, rescues, shelters and businesses to establish referral programs.
Essential Skills
· Self-starter: organized and excellent multi-tasker – excited to communicate our work externally
· Energetic and outgoing with an upbeat and positive personality.
· Must be able to work individually as well as in a team setting.
· MUST LOVE DOGS
Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years or older.
Legally permitted to work in the USA.
Job requires lifting event material up to and in excess of 25 pounds.
Job requires regular, consistent walking, stooping, and/or standing during the entire shift consistent with event attendance and community outreach.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
This position can be part-time or nearly full time depending on the skills of the candidate, and the individual must be available to work weekdays including some evenings, weekends and holidays when needed.
The position is ideal for an energetic individual with content generation experience, communications skills, and excited about working with dogs
PLEASE NOTE – peanuts and other food related items are on site, and staff will be exposed to dog hair and other dog byproducts
