How you'll do it:

As the Compliance Specialist - Quality Monitoring, you will be responsible for listening, scoring monitoring, tracking, and reporting status of recorded calls based on new and revised laws, regulations and guidance governing mortgage servicing and manufactured housing from all applicable regulatory agencies including, but not limited to, Mortgage Servicing Industry, Federal/State Laws, CFPB, HUD, FTC and state regulators. You will work under Legal/Compliance to ensure that Cascade's operations are in full compliance with all applicable laws, as well as with all business and support units to ensure the timely implementation of new and revised non-consumer related regulations and guidance. You will also assist in the oversight and management of Cascade's AML and SARS functions, regulatory audits, policies and procedures, fair lending protocols, remediation log, and employee training.

  • Listening and scoring recorded calls including, but not limited to, Customer Service, Collections, Escrow, Default, Bankruptcy, Supervisor, and Tax and Insurance Vendors.
  • Managing call recording system a workforce engagement solution for contact centers.
  • Researching, analyzing, and interpreting complex laws, regulations, and related commentaries. Apply appropriate regulations and/or guidelines to existing or revised products, services, or practices to determine regulatory requirements.
  • Influencing change through effective partnering with business or support units to implement new requirements and prepare respective status reports. Reporting duties including, but not limited to, daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports, loan level reviews on representatives.
  • Providing day to day compliance leadership and support to business and support units on non-consumer requirements. Research regulatory issues, document analysis, and respond in a consistent and timely manner to non-consumer compliance questions.
  • Providing guidance and training to business and support units, including new hire training.
  • Facilitating monthly results to Management and Sr. Management.
  • Developing and enhancing policies and procedures, including but not limited to, mortgage servicing procedures,
  • Coordinating the timely response and resolution of issues identified by internal audits and external examinations related to areas of responsibility.
  • Managing projects and preparing reports.
  • Assisting with all other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to join Cascade:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years' related work experience. Financial institution experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Significant knowledge and experience in regulations impacting financial institutions, specifically consumer compliance and mortgage-related regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret laws and regulations, analyze processes, determine gaps, and oversee resolution, required.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating change across an organization and providing guidance to internal customers.
  • Understanding of process and change management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage partnerships, including senior management.
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information in a comprehensive manner and prepare and present information and educational presentations.
  • Proficient with personal computers, experience with Virtual Observer (or related call recording application), Windows, Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and SharePoint preferred. Experience with GRC software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize problems and develop/implement solutions to the problems.
  • Demonstrated high level of personal integrity, ability to professionally handle confidential information and situations while using sound judgment.
  • Flexibility to accept and facilitate change, whether indicated by corporate needs, market, or regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with and maintain effective communication and working relationships within Cascade and with external partners.
