Job DescriptionJob DescriptionA full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout North Carolina has an opening for an experienced Estates Administration Paralegal to join its growing team. The position can be located Greenville, NC or in any one of four offices - Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, or Wilmington. Generous sign-on bonus
Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in the administration of estates, trusts, and guardianships
  • Draft correspondence and legal documents
  • Prepare inventories, accountings, and other probate documents
  • Confer with clients, beneficiaries, insurance companies, financial institutions, public officials, and court administrators
  • Review tax strategies and prepare various tax returns
  • Gather information and keep abreast of administrative changes
  • Assist attorneys in ensuring quality service to our clients
Skills:
  • Strong work ethic
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent client communications and service
  • Proficient technology skills, MS Office Suite and online research
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong proofreading skills
  • Able to work independently, handling an estate from beginning to end, collaborating with team members as needed
  • Must have strong understanding of accounting and taxes
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or associate's degree from an ABA approved Paralegal Technology program is preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience as a paralegal
  • Must have a NC Notary Public commission or willingness to obtain
