Estate Administration Paralegal

Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in the administration of estates, trusts, and guardianships
- Draft correspondence and legal documents
- Prepare inventories, accountings, and other probate documents
- Confer with clients, beneficiaries, insurance companies, financial institutions, public officials, and court administrators
- Review tax strategies and prepare various tax returns
- Gather information and keep abreast of administrative changes
- Assist attorneys in ensuring quality service to our clients
- Strong work ethic
- Exceptional time management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent client communications and service
- Proficient technology skills, MS Office Suite and online research
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong proofreading skills
- Able to work independently, handling an estate from beginning to end, collaborating with team members as needed
- Must have strong understanding of accounting and taxes
- Bachelor's or associate's degree from an ABA approved Paralegal Technology program is preferred
- 5-7 years of experience as a paralegal
- Must have a NC Notary Public commission or willingness to obtain
