Overview for Lead HVAC Installer Opportunity:

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead HVAC Installer to join their residential installation team. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, a strong work ethic, and exceptional leadership skills to effectively manage installation projects and teams. As a Lead HVAC Installer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful and efficient installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential properties.

Responsibilities for Lead HVAC Installer:

  • Lead and supervise installation crews in the proper installation of residential HVAC systems, ensuring adherence to company standards, safety protocols, and project timelines.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other team members to plan and execute installation projects effectively. Monitor project progress, allocate resources efficiently, and communicate project status updates regularly.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and ductwork. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during installations, ensuring systems operate efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of completed installations to verify compliance with industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and customer requirements. Ensure installations are of the highest quality and meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to installation team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Lead by example, promoting a positive work environment and teamwork among crew members.
  • Interact professionally with customers to address questions, concerns, and requests related to HVAC installations. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including equipment inventory, work performed, and any deviations from project plans. Generate reports as needed to track project metrics and performance indicators.

Qualifications for Lead HVAC Installer:

  • Prefer Associates degree in HVAC/R OR HVAC/R Certificate showing foundational education in the trade.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential HVAC installation, with demonstrated proficiency in installing a variety of HVAC systems and components.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising and motivating your installation team. Ability to delegate tasks effectively, manage priorities, and drive results.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and installation techniques. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Possesses interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering superior customer service. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, address their needs, and resolve issues to their satisfaction.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety regulations and procedures. Familiarity with OSHA guidelines and best practices for workplace safety.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve challenges encountered during installations.
  • Flexibility to work in various residential settings and adapt to changing project requirements and schedules.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with HVAC installation, including lifting heavy equipment at 50+ lbs, working in confined spaces, and operating hand and power tools safely.
