First Children Services is currently seeking a Behavior Technician (BT) to join our team We are a family-owned, family-operated, and family-focused organization. FCS is a New Jersey Department of Education and Clinic and Agency, approved provider for local district and clinic services. We provide services to public, private, and charter schools, including ABA, consultation and mental health support. Our staff take a collaborative approach by regularly partnering with the child study team members, teachers, guidance counselors, and administration to progress towards the best possible outcome for the school community. We are a passionate and dynamic group; unique for our eclectic, fun and collaborative spirit while still adhering to a high-quality, evidence-based practice. 


Our STRIVE centers are not like any other. Our motto is for children to be in a happy, relaxed and engaged environment to optimize learning. When you enter our center, it embodies everything you would have wanted as a kid coupled with ABA professionals implementing therapeutic services. Our Roselle Park Center comprises of 10+ playrooms, including art therapy, music therapy, sensory room, with an outside patio for outdoor therapy in warmer seasons, plus much more We implement group and individual therapy out of our center. We’ve created an environment where our clients and staff love to be, resulting in better outcomes.

Day to day primary functions:

  • Work 1:1 with client in independent and group classroom settings

  • Support healthy communication, social and behavioral skills

  • Provide ABA therapeutic support to extinguish or minimize maladaptive behaviors

  • Collaborate with the treatment team to increase positive treatment outcomes

  • Read and implement individualized treatment plans

  • Collect session data and submit documentation in a timely manner

What we require from you:

  • High School Diploma/ GED Required

  • 1 year experience working with children

  • Previous experience working with disabilities preferred

  • Comfortable with using technology for daily documentation

  • Strong interpersonal and documentation skills

  • Willingness to accept and implement practical feedback

  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel and run during shift
