Program: Developmental Disability Services

The Director of Services (DOS) is responsible for direct supervision of all Residential Programs and Program Managers. The DOS serves as a resource for program planning and management strategies and provides clinical, administrative and operational support. The nature of organizational relationship permits the incumbent DOS to establish personal standards of performance within a broad framework of policies and objectives as set forth by Agency. This position includes travel, as the DOS is responsible for visiting and overseeing multiple residential programs, requiring regular travel from home to home.

Requirements:

Essential Functions of Position: Clinical and Fiscal Management

• Plan, organize and coordinate a major segment of the corporation while exercising judgment, initiative, leadership and ability to anticipate and positively react to clinical, organizational and administrative problems

• Review contract budgets prior to submitting them to Victory Human Services’ Contracts Manager. (The DOS may be required to develop budgets/amendments in the Program Director’s absence) Provide the Contracts Office with copies of any potential fiscal changes prior to actual change

• Review Income and Expense Statements monthly. Track and resolve issues in conjunction with Program Directors and fiscal staff

• Prepare grant proposals

• Oversee Licensing, CARF, QUEST, CARF, OSHA and Quality Assurance issues

• Assist in the design and development of new programs. Must be able to conceptualize new business plans and work with Vice President to expand funding base

• Provide ongoing supervision and support for Program Directors

• Participate in the Management Training Series for senior staff, overseen by Victory Human Services’ Director of Training

• Provide fiscal and data analysis

• Oversee formulation and implementation of planning for multiple programs and/or development of recommendations on which corporate-wide plans and objectives are based. (Works regularly with privileged information concerning corporate inter-program activities and plans)

• Interact with program staff members, the general public and representatives of other organizations, while exercising considerable discretion

• Perform any other duties as assigned

• Limited remote work ; 8-10 hours per week


Requirements for the position

Professional Characteristics

• Master’s degree in Human Services or related field

• Five to Seven Years of relevant experience


Personal Characteristics:

• Excellent Oral and written skills

• Ability to respond to time lines and prioritize work projects as essential

• Ability to develop and implement policy and program direction


Other Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, and meet the company’s driver insurance standards

• An acceptable CORI (criminal record assessment)

• A personal vehicle for travel
