Niskayuna Community Day Care Center in Schenectady, NY is looking for a Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our dedicated team. As a Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our youngest learners. Compensation:

$19.50 hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for pre-kindergarten students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Conduct assessments to track student progress and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational program and school community.
  • Stay current on best practices in early childhood education and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Previous experience equalling at least 2 years working with young children in a classroom setting
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for preschool-aged children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create engaging and educational lesson plans
About Company

Niskayuna Community Day Care Center is a small, not-for-profit organization that has been serving Niskayuna and surrounding area families for over 30 years. We are a play-based Center that focuses on providing a safe and healthy environment for children 18 months-5 years old to learn and grow throughout their day. We are currently running with four open classrooms but we hope to open other classrooms when we have more quality staff that we can trust.
