Position Summary/Objective:

The Fulfillment Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day fulfillment needs of Born Primitive and supervise the fulfillment team as needed. This position will require decision making, leadership skills, and the ability to prioritize and shift tasks based on changing fulfillment needs. This Supervisor will need to be organized, have strong attention to detail, and interpersonal skills to allow proper guidance of employees for completion their tasks. You will work alongside the Warehouse Manager to ensure all tasks at hand are identified, delegated appropriately, and completed in a timely manner.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of our brand by fully learning our products and understanding our brand ethos

  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of fulfillment associates to achieve performance goals and maintain high standards of productivity and accuracy.

  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, expectations, and feedback.

  • Distribute daily assignments to all fulfillment employees, ensuring clear instructions and timely completion of tasks.

  • Oversee the entire order fulfillment process, from receiving orders to picking, packing, shipping, and troubleshooting any errors within the WMS.

  • Ensure all orders are meticulously processed and shipped promptly to meet and exceed customer expectations. This includes handling expedited shipping orders, wholesale orders, and custom apparel orders with specific instructions.

  • Monitor order flow and identify potential bottlenecks, implementing solutions to streamline operations within WMS.

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and audits.

  • Coordinate with the inventory team to resolve discrepancies and ensure stock availability for order fulfillment.

  • Implement best practices for inventory organization and storage and plan accordingly for any upcoming changes.

  • Collaborate with other members of the warehouse management team to ensure departments are aligned.

  • Conduct quality checks on picked and packed orders to ensure they meet company standards.

  • Address and resolve issues related to order accuracy, product quality, and packaging.

  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain high-quality fulfillment processes.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the fulfillment center and report any hazards if identified.

  • Main POC for any order related requests coming from other departments.

  • Liaise with the WMS team to address any system issues impacting order processing.

  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and co-workers at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fulfillment, warehouse, or distribution environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Required Characteristics:

  • Ability to thrive in a quickly growing and very fast paced work environment

  • Ability to meet deadlines while tasked with multiple projects

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to formulate professional correspondence.

  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm, as well as occasional Holidays and weekends.


Physical Requirements:

Associates in this position will be required to constantly climb stairs, bend, stoop, walk, lift up to 10 lbs, and crouch as needed. Frequently associates in this position may be asked to push/pull up to 50 lbs, work in extreme conditions (heat/cold), and/or travel on a voluntary basis.
