REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors in a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • NYS Fingerprint Clearance.
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking required.
  • Certification: W-07 and Food Handler

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience managing various school or program functions, including overseeing enrollment, marketing, facilities, attendance, and safety/security protocols. This ensures smooth operations and contributes to overall success.
  • Experience with educational technology (iPads, Smartboards, School Projectors, etc.).
  • Experience with ATS, Microsoft Office, Google Platforms, PowerSchool, Parent Square, etc.
  • Experience working in teams to develop and implement systems and processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate success in working in non-traditional/urban school settings. 
  • Demonstrate a track record of executing the highest quality operations in a school, school system, or other educational organization. 
  • Demonstrate a sense of profound personal responsibility for the organization’s success and passion for education.
  • Highly detail-oriented, coupled with the ability to think and act strategically.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
  • Strong interest and commitment to education and academic achievement.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations:

  • Support the school's day-to-day operations, working directly with the Principal and Director of Operations to support staff in the school's day-to-day operations.
  • Support leveraging technology implementation in classrooms for student assessment and targeted instruction. 
  • Support student transportation, Metro cards, train passes for trips, and OPT. 
  • Ensure all parent communications are centralized, coordinated, and precise. 
  • Ensure adherence to legal rules and guidelines.
  • Support technology and information systems, such as school-based ID systems, infrastructure, hardware, and software. 
  • School Event and Field Study Planning and Oversight: Complete related tasks associated with events. Act as the Project Manager for school-wide events, setting timelines and communication calendars and presenting to teachers.
  • Scholar Food Service: Perform day-to-day duties and responsibilities to ensure scholar food service remains compliant, is provided without delay or interruption, and is recorded accurately. Manage relationships with DOE school food partners.
Enrollment:
  • Support the Operations Team towards re-enrollment goals and work as a unit to speak with families and accurately track all re-registration information to ensure enrollment data is always up to date. 
  • Support Operations Team with all operational and student administration compliance mandates and protocols. 
  • Support student recruiting process, including outreach and parent tours.
  • Ensure accurate collection and maintenance of student data and school metrics. 
  • Ensure the new student lottery is run in compliance with the law. 
  • Ensure the content of student records and information is accurate as State Law requires.
  • Maintain accurate Record keeping for students' information and academic performance.
Building:
  • Ensure that all safety and security protocols are in place and being followed, including all mandated drills, safety inspections, and health regulations. 
  • Create a safe environment that is conducive to student learning and parent, staff, and faculty interactions. 
  • Oversee the maintenance of school fascicles, including cleaning, trash removal, and recycling. 
Family Outreach
  • Advocacy and Family Engagement Management: Oversees Parent Council Executive Committee; responsible for parent and family advocacy milestones.
