**Administrative Assistant - Middle School**

**Role Summary**

**Reporting Relationship**:
This position reports to the Middle School Principal

**Responsibilities Include**:
**Attendance Management**
- Take and maintain daily attendance for all middle school students
- Identify and address attendance discrepancies, contacting parents, teachers, and security personnel as needed

**Communication & Coordination**
- Coordinate and send communications to middle school families
- Organize and support the Principal's and Assistant Principal's correspondence, calendar, and phone calls
- Maintain and update an internal middle school calendar
- Support the Teacher Absence Management process, including meeting substitutes, providing computers, and showing them to classrooms,
- Facilitate communication between students, faculty, and all relevant school departments (e.g., After-school Activities, Athletics, Tech Support, Food Service, Maintenance, Transportation)
- Liaise with Maintenance, Food Service and IT Departments for all Middle School needs

**Resource & Event Management**
- Order, maintain, and distribute all middle school supplies
- Organize parent-teacher conferences
- Support in the organization of MAP testing
- Coordinate Middle School room bookings
- Manage and maintain smooth operation of copiers for student and teacher use.
- Coordinate field trips and special events for the middle school
- Organize and support all special events including, assemblies, faculty meetings, photo day, orientation

**Data & Technology**
- Manage and update class lists (including withdrawals and new admissions)
- Maintain lists of all middle school teachers and their assignments
- Process and log middle school budget-related information
- Maintain digital platforms providing information for parents, students, and faculty
- Create weekly newsletters using Veracross

Perform all other related duties as assigned

**_Salary Range of $41,570 to $76,072._**
