Warehouse Coordinator (Chantilly, VA): Responsible for the coordination of the store's on-site activities, managing receipt, stocking, and shipping of products; staging for delivery client orders; and all purchasing transactions with Trane and local vendors.
Essential Duties:
- Staging, shipping and receiving parts, equipment, and supplies
- Stock the supply stores with an appropriate amount of merchandise
- Practice safe material handling techniques
- Filing of freight bills of lading, equipment packing slips, etc. for inventory reconciliation and audit purposes
- Filing freight claims for damaged goods
- Manage receipt, inspecting, and stocking products
- Determining inventory levels, identifying and disposing of excess and obsolete inventory, and maintaining system inventory accuracy
- Flexible to work outside normal business hours; weekends could be required for inventory
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two years of warehouse experience is preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Knowledgeable in MS Office & Outlook
- Organized, detail oriented, takes initiative, keeps area and warehouse clean
Physical Requirements:
- Able to climb ladders to put stock away
- Regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard, phone, reach with hands and arms
- Frequently required to stand for long periods of time, walk, and sit
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Must regularly lift and/ or move up to 25lbs, frequently lift and/ or move up to 50lbs, and occasionally lift and/ or move more than 100lbs with a device
