Job Title: Sanitation Technician I

Department: Sanitation

Location: Williams Headquarters: 20260 Williams Hwy, Williams 97544

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Pay: $17.00/hr


Summary: The Sanitation Technician I is responsible for operational support in the processing department, housekeeping, janitorial, and pest control duties, keeping the facility and equipment in a clean and orderly manner as required by current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).


Essential Duties and Responsibilities can include the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Manually cleaning & storing of all containers and equipment after each use according to prescribed procedures
  • Assisting with a variety of janitorial tasks to ensure that all areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Areas of coverage include: Wet room processing equipment, Production, Sanitation, Office/Administrative, and Grounds
  • Assists Quality with investigations and inspections as needed.
  • Complete proper documentation of work performed.
  • Ability to detect issues and troubleshoot.
  • Ensures a safe work environment by following all safety rules, maintaining strong safety awareness, and participating in required safety training and meetings.
  • Promotes a work environment that meets cGMP regulations by following all established procedures and completing all required training on cGMPs.
Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • High school education or equivalent
  • 6 + months of related experience or training

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Ability to carry out detailed oral or written instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment without close supervision.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, fostering teamwork and collaboration among a diverse team.
  • Must pay close attention to detail.
  • Basic math and computer skills are necessary.
  • Excellent research, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality as they come into contact with proprietary and sensitive documents and information.
  • Participates in all team meetings, sharing ideas on continuous process improvement with the supervisor and team members.
  • Portions of this position are in a cGMP area, therefore masks, lab coats, and hair/beard nets must be worn. No makeup, perfumes, acrylic or artificial nails, or jewelry allowed in cGMP work areas.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods of time & heavy lifting required, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Work environment can be noisy requiring PPE; conditions may include occasional exposure to outdoor weather and slippery surfaces. A pre-employment physical is required prior to employment.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra to practical problem-solving situations.


Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as company procedure manuals, safety rules, and computer operating manuals. Ability to understand written policies and guidelines, specifications and safety standards.


Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Interpersonal Skills: Ability to quickly organize and communicate thoughts, and to understand communications from others. Ability to maintain composure, listen, and respond appropriately.
