Position Title: Sanitation Technician I

Department: Sanitation

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Compensation: $17.00/hr

Role Summary

The Sanitation Technician I plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the processing department. This position involves various housekeeping, janitorial, and pest control tasks to ensure that the facility and equipment meet the standards of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform manual cleaning and proper storage of all containers and equipment following established procedures.
  • Assist with a range of janitorial duties to maintain cleanliness across all areas.
  • Areas of responsibility include processing equipment, production zones, sanitation areas, administrative offices, and grounds.
  • Support Quality Assurance with inspections and investigations as required.
  • Document all work performed accurately.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Maintain compliance with cGMP regulations by following established procedures and completing necessary training.
Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months related experience or training.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions.
  • Capable of working collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills to promote teamwork and collaboration.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Basic math and computer skills are required.
  • Excellent organizational, troubleshooting, and research abilities.
  • Judgment and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidentiality in handling sensitive information is a must.
  • Engagement in team meetings to discuss process improvements.
  • Compliance with cGMP area requirements, including appropriate personal protective equipment.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. The work environment may be noisy, requiring personal protective equipment, and may involve exposure to outdoor conditions and slippery surfaces.

Pre-Employment Conditions

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and a pre-employment physical examination.
