Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThis position will be responsible for performing daily shipping and receiving tasks as well as any needed warehouse functions. The position will also be utilizing company truck to make local deliveries and pickups.

Essential Functions:
To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

  • Obtain, read and follow production schedule, shipping orders or other directives used for the movement of materials.
  • Safely move, load and unload materials on pallets or crates around the dock, production areas, trucks or storage areas.
  • Safely stack goods in correct storage bays following inventory control instructions.
  • Ensure each load is secure before moving.
  • Understanding of ERP systems or warehouse systems. Knowledge of RF scanners.
  • Perform daily equipment checks, inspecting machinery to determine the need for repairs, such as battery recharging, lubricating equipment, safety belt security, etc.; complete daily inspection forms.
  • Remove machine attachments and waste materials from machines.
  • Examine products moved to verify conformance to quality standards before and after moving, and report damage using appropriate methods.
  • Manage multiple work items at one time with a high sense of urgency.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all instructions for operating equipment and preparing and updating records of inventory and activity logs.
  • Execute assignments safely, paying attention and following all safety requirements to prevent injury to self, others, or equipment.
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Perform daily check of company truck as well as scheduling needed maintenance working with Plant maintenance as needed.
  • May be required to perform related duties not specifically listed above as required by manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 or more years of certified, safe industrial truck operation preferred.
  • High school graduate or GED, preferred.
  • Class B CDL

Required Skills:

  • High degree of attention/focus.
  • Ability to see near and far to discern numbers and letters, identify obstacles and select proper product and inventory location.
  • Ability to execute assignments in a safe, timely and accurate manner.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate using English.
