NSTI is currently seeking a Sales Support Specialist for an Anchorage-based full-time position.

NSTI provides telecom engineering, design, maintenance, and construction services throughout the state of Alaska. We have a long history of treating people right, presenting integrity and quality through our performance across Alaska and beyond.

The Sales Support Specialist is a key member of the NSTI sales team. They will work directly with the Vice President to ensure the timely delivery of customer quotes and products. They will develop key relationships in customer accounts while driving sales through product knowledge. This position takes the lead on order fulfillment by administering the purchase workflow from initial customer contact to product delivery. The successful candidate will be adept at maximizing customer value while focused on long term relationships.

Education and Experience Required/Preferred:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a technical field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of Business to Business sales experience working with highly technical products such as communications, data, video, intruder detection, access control, and/or similar equipment
  • 2 years of project leadership or management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Experience with MS Dynamics CRM
  • Motorola dealership experience preferred
  • Design or installation of communication systems preferred

Skills:

  • Consults with existing and potential clients to assess and understand equipment needs and systems requirements.
  • Assists with the drafting of presentations and other documentation
  • Provides expertise and support to sales teams to communicate products, services, and client needs
  • Ensures that customer needs are met, which may include product modifications
  • Proposes improved materials or products to customers and explain changes
  • Provides support to customers and resolves problems with installed equipment
  • Prepares product orders and schedules deliveries
  • Assists with research and development of new products

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
