The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will be responsible for managing and improving the quality of components and materials provided by our suppliers. This role involves evaluating supplier performance, conducting audits, and working closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues. The SQE will collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement quality standards and ensure compliance with industry regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct regular audits of supplier facilities and processes.
  • Work closely with suppliers to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Develop and implement supplier quality improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials and components.
  • Review and approve supplier quality documentation, including PPAPs (Production Part Approval Process).
  • Analyze supplier quality data and generate reports for management review.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities with suppliers.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support new product development by assessing supplier capabilities and quality systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, preferably in the home appliance or a related manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Experience with supplier audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using quality tools and software (e.g., Minitab, SPC tools).

Desired Skills:

  • Certification in quality engineering (e.g., ASQ CQE) or related field.
  • Familiarity with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP processes.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
