Visiting Angels of Virginia Beach is Seeking a Dependable Caregiver to Join Our Growing Team
At Visiting Angels, we believe that the best place for a senior to age gracefully is comfortably at home. This is a great opportunity for parents or anyone coming out of retirement looking to pad their income. Our female client is located in the Blackwater/Pungo area and is commutable from South Chesapeake, Indian Creek, and Hickory.
Hours: Apply for some or all of the following shifts
Monday, Thursday, and Friday 7-11am
Tuesday and Wednesday 8am-3pm
Saturday/Sunday 8am-12pm
Pay: $14-17/hr
Job Location: 1 mile from the VB Fire Station #13 ( 6009 Blackwater Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23457) and 4 miles from Northwest River Park.
Benefits of Being a Caregiver:
- Starting pay (for PCA, HHA, and NA) is $14-$17/hr, for CNAs $14.50-$18/hr

At Home Caregiver Responsibilities:
- Provide ambulation support, bathroom assistance, hygiene care and redirections with encouragement and patience.
- Provide care for patients with advanced dementia
- Provide non-medical assistance to seniors in their homes
- Provide mobility assistance, such as walking and transfers
- Monitor medication schedules and provide reminders
- Monitor fluid intake and output
- Personal care and hygiene assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation tasks
- Monitor patients overnight, assisting with mobility challenges and transfers
Job Requirements:
- Must be within a communitable distance to the Blackwater/Pungo area
- Must be encouraging and patient in providing advanced dementia care
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required
- Must have a current CNA, NA, PCA, or HHA certification, or be willing to obtain one prior to starting work*
- Current PPD
- Must be self directed and able to work with minimal supervision
- Able to pass drug screening and criminal background check
