AKABA welcomes passionate individuals to join our team as ABA Therapists


ABA Therapists foster growth and positive life change in the lives of children we serve through the science of ABA.


This position pays between $20-23 per hour to start with paid training and consistent opportunities to advance your career and compensation. 


*Client transport is required for some cases so we do ask you have access to your own vehicle should the client need to come to the center or go out into the community.


Job Type: Part-time, flexible scheduling with consistent hours. Most clients are seen during after-school hours (between 2:30-8 pm). Some earlier case times are also available.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour to start with pay increases at 3 and 6 months. RBT certificate holders start higher.


AKABA ABA Techs provide individualized ABA services in the home, AKABA Center, and community-based settings to clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders. We provide ABA overview courses, in-field training, and safety care training to prepare you for working with us and beyond

Qualifications for the ABA Tech role include the following:


  • Friendly and energetic person who enjoys working with children.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Applied Behavior Analysis and/or the Psychology field is a plus.
  • Experience working with individuals with special needs (preferably Autism or other developmental disabilities)
  • Ability to attend an initial orientation
  • Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week (mainly after school hours between 3-8 p.m. )
  • Has reliable transportation
  • Must be timely and organized
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively within a variety of situations
  • Other relevant experience: working as a Teacher's Aide, Education Assistant, Child Care worker, Tutor, Instructor, Home Care Worker, Mental Health Therapist, Nursing Assistant
