GENERAL MANAGER OF ARNIE’S HOTDOGS – JOB DESCRIPTION

General Manager of Arnie’s Hotdogs Responsibilities:
The General Manager of Arnie’s Hotdogs is responsible for the successful management of both restaurant locations including staffing, labor costs, food costs, expense control, inventory control, equipment maintenance and overall safety to achieve established sales and profit goals. This role has day-to-day responsibility for all front-of-house and back-of-house restaurant activities including operational performance and execution and directing the front-of-house and back-of-house team. The General Manager of Arnie’s Hotdogs will supervise the restaurant team. The General Manager of Arnie’s Hotdogs will report directly to the Regional Manager of Convenience Store Operations.

General Manager of Arnie’s Hotdogs duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive profitability of restaurants by directing company metrics to balance budget goals
  • Prepare annual budget and business plan, set financial goals and plans expenses; monitor actual sales and revenues on a continuous basis to determine variances; assess goal accomplishment and react appropriately
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels within budget by providing a thorough orientation into the work environment, conduct on-going training, communication, coaching, counseling, mentoring and recognition efforts as needed, prepare performance reviews and other required paperwork on a timely basis and schedule associates to ensure optimum staffing coverage
  • Place orders with vendors, supervise deliveries and read and review invoices to verify the accuracy of invoice specs
  • Conduct physical inventories on a weekly basis
  • Support all restaurant operations to carry out the principles of the company with a hands-on “whatever it takes” approach as it relates to organizational standards
  • Familiar with and works in compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience working in the food industry
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior management experience
  • Excellent written, communication, presentation and quantitative skills required
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time as well as walk, bend and stoop

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiar with and works in compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

Hours:

The General Manager of Arnie’s Hotdogs is a full time position and works a minimum of 45 hours per week

Salary/Income:

The General Manager of Arnie’s is an exempt, salaried position
