Job Title: Construction Quality Control Manager

Estimated Commencement Date: June 2024

Type of Project: Renovation of existing facility


Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Quality Control Manager to oversee and ensure the quality of a project at an Orlando client location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, quality control procedures, and a keen attention to detail.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage the Quality Control (QC) program at the work site.
  • Participate in partnering meetings, QC Plan Meetings, Coordination and Mutual Understanding Meetings.
  • Conduct QC meetings and oversee the three phases of control.
  • Review and approve submittals, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
  • Ensure testing is performed and provide necessary QC certifications and documentation.
  • Manage and coordinate QC activities performed by testing laboratory personnel and inspection/testing personnel.
  • Responsible for coordinating quality control for Secure SpaceS perimeter construction in coordination with government personnel.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager on similar size and type construction contracts.
  • At least two years' experience specifically as a QC Manager.
  • Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 requirements.
  • Experience in hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability practices.


Construction Quality Management Training:

  • Completion of "Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors" course.
  • If certification is not current, must obtain CQM for Contractors course certification within 90 days of award. (Course periodically offered by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command and the Army Corps of Engineers. Contact the Contracting Officer for information on the next scheduled class.)

  • Proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders including government personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.
