Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex Public Safety and Emergency Management systems. This role focuses on enterprise monitoring solutions tailored to meet specific operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct requirements gathering and spearhead the design and development of enterprise monitoring systems for Public Safety projects.
  • Create detailed VISIO or CAD engineering drawings, technical specifications, and material lists customized for each project.
  • Oversee the design of system hardware and software to ensure performance meets predefined standards.
  • Manage project timelines, ensuring systems are validated for functionality, performance, and readiness.
  • Facilitate discussions regarding technical specifications and materials for projects.
  • Lead blended teams of IT consultants and internal staff, maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Ensure adherence to PMO methodologies and development standards.
  • Participate in all PMO functions, including budget monitoring, risk management, and ensuring compliance with communication and process protocols.
  • Review and contribute to project documentation, including technical requirements, design, testing, and implementation plans.
  • Develop training and support plans for post-project transitions to agency staff.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and uphold standards set by the Project Management Institute’s PMBOK and OTI PSEM methodologies.
  • Report on project status to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Assist the Director of Project Management in managing PMO functions such as change requests, documentation, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Address client concerns, escalate project risks, and manage resolutions effectively.
  • Undertake special projects and additional duties as required.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience managing medium to large scale projects.
  • At least 8 years in Event Management and Public Safety Emergency Services.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including routing protocols, operating systems, databases, and data delivery techniques.
  • Proficient in IT Service Management and enterprise monitoring tools, focusing on service automation, assurance, and support.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Visio.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with a focus on scheduling and managing dependencies in a large-scale environment.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience managing third-party service providers.
  • Solid technical leadership in large-scale enterprise environments, particularly in emergency services.
