We are seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to support the financial operations of a reputable law firm. This position involves overseeing the complete accounts payable process, from invoice management to payment execution, while ensuring meticulous financial record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have experience in a legal or professional services environment, with strong expertise in handling journal entries and advanced Excel skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring payments are timely and accurate.
  • Review and approve invoices while maintaining detailed records.
  • Maintain and update vendor information, including payment terms and contact details.
  • Reconcile financial data, including vendor statements and accounts payable reports.
  • Enter data and perform journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and month-end closeout.
  • Support accounts payable audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve discrepancies and maintain compliance.


Requirements:

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience using Coyote is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and month-end closeout processes.
  • Solid experience with journal entries and data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.


Compensation:

  • $45,000 to $55,000
