Job Summary


As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled engineers in the development, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions using the .NET framework. You will play a crucial role in driving technical excellence, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products, and fostering a collaborative and innovative engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and career development opportunities.
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  2. Project Management:
    • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
    • Manage project risks and proactively address any issues or roadblocks.
  3. Technical Expertise:
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance in the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions using the .NET framework.
    • Stay current with industry trends and best practices, and ensure the team adopts the latest technologies and methodologies.
    • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  4. Process Improvement:
    • Continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance team productivity and product quality.
    • Implement and promote agile development practices and ensure the team follows agile principles.
  5. Stakeholder Management:
    • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals and customer needs.
    • Communicate project status, progress, and challenges to senior management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in software development, with a strong background in the .NET framework.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role within an engineering team.
  • In-depth knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, particularly agile practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
