Staff Analyst

The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 6/30/24 with strong potential for Long term extension.
Pay Rate-
$45.42/hr working 40 hours a week

Shifts: Hybrid: 2-3 days a week in our clients Los Angeles, CA Office.
Employee will be working a minimum of 8 hours a day between the hours of 7 AM to 7 PM. Some overtime may be expected and occasional weekend work if needed.
Job Duties
- Coordinating day to day activities of Child Care Choices, a comprehensive strategy to increase access to affordable child care.
- Supporting the development and implementation of an early care an education campaign with various stakeholders.
- Delivering a training program on early care and education issues for staff in LA County Departments and community organizations
- Convening stakeholders, committees, and workgroups to strengthen the early care and education system.
- Tracking and analyzing California early care and education legislation and developing policy recommendations.
- Managing data on the needs of the early care and education system.
- Acting as a thought partner and content expert on early care and education workgroups, committees, and councils.
- Managing contracts with other funders and community partner
- Acting as a liaison between OAECE and other LA County departments on early care and education issues.
Desirable Qualifications:
- At least 5 years working in the early care and education system, especially efforts related to increasing access, improving quality, supporting early educators, or engaging parents and communities.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
- Expertise in supporting educational campaigns and developing promotional materials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working on systems improvement strategies.
- A minimum of a bachelors degree in early childhood education, social work, sociology, psychology, public policy, public health, or a related field.
