Location: Ashland, VA 23005

Compensation: $17.50/hour

Job Title: Presort – Light Industrial Material Handler

Schedule: MWF 3:00 PM – 1:00AM, T TH 3:00PM – 11PM, Sun Rotating shift 7:00AM – 11:00AM. Hours may be a tad more or less depending on volume daily and nightly.

Essential Duties:

  • Retrieve and sort incoming packages
  • Prepare deliveries by either gaylord, sack setup or pallet stacking.
  • Load packages into the system and identify special handling needs.
  • Use technology like scanners, computers and automation for improved accuracy and speed.
  • Perform all additional duties as required.

Education and skills required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Understand and follow safety and other operational directions
  • Prior handling, fulfillment, warehouse or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of small package and conveyor systems
  • Ability to lift 5-20 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations
