Our client is a full-service dental lab located in Northern Alabama. They are looking for a supervisor to lead their Orthodontic Team. This position is responsible for all areas of the Ortho department, including all incoming and outgoing work, department employees, equipment, technology, and quality. Direct management of employees in above stated areas, including but not limited to yearly and periodic evaluations, hours and overtime, production quotas, individual quality, training/education, accountability, etc. See requirements and package information below.


EXPERIENCE:10 or more years of dental lab experience, with majority of experience in orthodontics. Proven experience in a leadership role.


POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead and manage department
  • Continually improve the department in terms of quality and efficiency, reducing internal remakes and waste
  • Ensure production is on schedule, making proactive decisions to keep departments running on schedule and not exceeding the late work percentage maximum goal
  • Maintain external remake percentage goals by ensuring quality products are being delivered that meet quality standards
  • Provide advice and technical solutions to technicians/supervisors on problematic cases that ensure they satisfy customer quality demands and laboratory delivery times
  • Hold payroll percentage at or under budget
  • Ensure all manufacturer instructions are being followed
  • Maintain department supplies and prevent excess inventory of supplies
  • Ensure all machine/equipment problems are addressed promptly
  • Communicate with upper management on department needs
  • Communication between departments as needed to provide teamwork and correct problems
  • Document employee issues and counseling sessions
  • Know and enforce company policies and safety guidelines
  • Ensure new employees receive proper training
  • Keep departments clean and organized
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned by management

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:


  • Salary Range of $80k to $100k/year
  • Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, matching 401k and PTO
  • Relocation negotiable
