Our client is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist for the Hematology Department. The role involves conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses to provide information for disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field, MLS Certification, and experience in conducting medical laboratory tests and procedures.Salary Range: $26.82/hour - $40.24/hour (dependent on education and years of experience)Key Responsibilities
Determining normal and abnormal components of body fluids through chemical analyses
Analyzing blood cells using microscopic techniques
Preparing blood, plasma, and platelets for transfusions
Processing and reporting cultures from various sources
Maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies
Providing medical technology information
Preparing reports of technological findings
Maintaining professional and technical knowledge
Working in compliance with QA/QI standards
Maintaining safe and clean working environment
Recognizing and solving problems
Training new employees
Performing other related duties as required
