Our Opportunity
Our Manufacturing Estimator provides detailed and accurate estimates for the work that flows through our job shop environment. We're rarely making the same parts more than once, so each day here provides unique challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mind, attention to detail, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
This could be the perfect opportunity for the fabricator looking to make a move off the production floor
What You’ll Do
- Interpret drawings, blueprints, and other construction documents used in the fabrication and machining processes
- Prepare an accurate and detailed “take off” of materials
- Estimate costs for materials, labor, equipment, and delivery to prepare thorough estimates
- As needed, secure vendor and subcontractor quotes to complete estimates
- Process jobs and create shop routings
- Purchase materials and parts for jobs
- Maintain and manage relationships outsourced manufacturing partners to fulfill specific production needs
- Support projects through completion, interfacing with production and project management to address issues, change orders, timeline, etc
- At end of job, analyze estimates to actual costs to understand cost overruns (if applicable) and improve quoting process
- Assist with order setup and other responsibilities as assigned
Who You Are
- 5+ years relevant experience in a job shop manufacturing or machining environment
- Previous fabrication and welding experience required
- Knowledge of JobBoss a strong plus
- Able to read blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal

Pay Range: $28.85 - $40.85/hour
