Accounting Internship

ABOUT THE ROLE

Amsted Automotive Group, The Burgess-Norton Finance team is looking for an Accounting Intern with a basic understanding of GAAP and financial principles/terms who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience. With the direct support of the broader finance team, the Accounting Intern can expect to participate in the preparation of journal entries and financial reports, analyze actual financial data, learn more about SAP software, and assist with other accounting activities. You should be a motivated team player who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking.

We are currently looking for a part time intern and we are flexible on the days.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Ensure Fixed Asset Register is accurate and complete
• Work with operational personnel to ensure accuracy of Standard Cost
• Help analyze manufacturing costs between Asian and US operations
• Providing feedback and assistance with on-going projects and initiative to improve existing processes while maintaining or improving existing controls.
• Performing other duties as assigned or apparent.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Proficient with computers and excel
• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills to build strong interpersonal relationships
• Have strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work without distraction
• Must possess high level of integrity as you will be working with sensitive financial information
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and be motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on a new challenge.
