The Hilton Austin Airport is looking for an engaging Shuttle Driver to assist guests on arrival and departure to the hotel.


Requirements:

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Greets and welcomes guests.
  2. Opens doors for all guests.
  3. Responds to all guests' requests and handle guest complaints.
  4. Gives clear directions to all hotel facilities, guest rooms and local area attractions.
  5. Carries baggage to the guest’s room.
  6. Tags and stores baggage for guest as needed and maintains accurate records of incoming and outgoing baggage.
  7. Picks up and deliver guest laundry for valet service.
  8. Delivers packages, faxes and messages to guests.
  9. Ensures that the front lobby, front interior and exterior entrances are kept clean.
  10. Drives the shuttle van, safely and adhering to all traffic regulations. A valid state driver’s license is required.
  11. Maintains cleanliness of the vans.
  12. Remains at workstation assigned by manager and stays at post when not assisting guests or performing other tasks as assigned.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Attends company orientation and other meetings as required.

2. Adheres to all policies and procedures.

3. Is expected to perform any related duty as requested by supervisor.

4. Assists other Team Members when needed.

5. Follows safety, security and emergency procedures and rules.

6. Utilizes protective equipment.

7. Reports accidents, injuries, hazards, near misses, defective equipment, property damage or loss to supervisor.

8. Informs management of any unusual activity during the course of their shift.

Physical Demands/Abilities:

  1. Communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with guests and coworkers, i.e., provide information, answer questions, etc.
  2. Stand and/or walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods.
  3. Must be able to lift (50) pounds on an individual basis, pushing two hundred (200) pound carts, or collectively helping team members move larger loads than the weight limits listed above.
  4. Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  5. Understand the operation of computers.
  6. Read maps and give clear directions.
  7. Be familiar with the hotel’s amenities and their hours of operation.
  8. Work in an environment that is demanding and physical with fluctuating adverse temperatures.
  9. Frequent reaching, stretching, bending, stooping, walking, standing, handling, talking and smiling.
