Job Overview

We are looking for a highly driven, experienced recruiter to join our team and support our growth and development. This team-oriented individual will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, developing, and retaining the talented individuals hired at Phoenix International.

Responsibilities

  • Work with HR Director on development and execution of a recruitment plan for each open position as well as succession considerations
  • Drive the recruiting process by sourcing, reviewing resumes, coordinating screenings and interviews, assisting in negotiations, and ultimately, finding the best candidates for Phoenix
  • Track all job applicants in our applicant tracking software system
  • Work with hiring managers to better understand each department's needs and to craft job descriptions, which you will post
  • Conduct regular meetings with hiring managers to determine future staffing needs
  • Onboard new hires
  • Help determine, assign, and track the completion of required training in our learning management system
  • Proactively source candidates through employee referrals, networking, internal databases, LinkedIn, and innovative research tactics
  • Be an active participant in the company's Culture Council
  • Work with HR Director on other HR initiatives that develop our employees and promote and protect our desired culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years recruiting experience in freight forwarding or similar industry
  • Solid work ethic with the ability to grasp the business operation and the necessary talent to deliver results
  • Good understanding of the labor market and associated talent pools
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office products to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
