What would you do as a Systems Engineer - Expert Level

As an Expert Systems Engineer at Mission Intelligence Group, you will lead dynamic engineering teams in a multi-discipline approach to pivotal projects for DIE, NGA, NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies, ensuring timely and accurate GEOINT delivery. Your responsibilities will involve assisting the Government with comprehensive requirements engineering, solutions development, and systems integration while addressing scheduling, reliability, and maintainability challenges. You will play a key role in planning and analyzing user requirements, translating mission needs into actionable systems capabilities, and advising on technology-driven design changes.

Additionally, you will oversee strategic technical planning, project management, and risk management processes. Leading Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs) and coordinating efforts across various levels of engineering staff, you will ensure that our projects align with the overarching vision and strategic goals of the Intelligence Community. Your expertise in the current DIE and NRO enterprises will be instrumental in elevating our collaborative mission to excellence.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Masters degree in Systems Engineering and 15+ or Bachelor's Degree and 18+ years of experience in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM expert level experience.
  • Demonstrated expert level working experience in government or industry in releveant work areas including: DOD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated experience of systems engineering lifecycle.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Doctorate in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM expert level experience.
  • Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
  • Software Development Framework certification.
  • INCOSE Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.
  • Licensure as a professional engineer.
  • Membership or leadership in any of the following professional organizations:
    • ACSM
    • ASCE
    • ASPRS
    • OGC
    • SAREM
    • USGIF
  • Demonstrated work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering soutions using Cloud-based technologies, structured and unstructured Big Data, Automation, Augmentation and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
