We are looking for an enthusiastic, well organized and self motivated service technician capable of working in light commercial settings; providing HVAC filter changing and overall general maintenance service to our customers.

Compensation:

$27.50 per hour plus benefits


Work Hours:

Full time: 40 hrs.

Regularly from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (Mon- Fri.); with occasional weekend responsibilities.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Basic HVAC service including managing filters for diverse customers (inventory, purchase and changing filters), simple diagnostics and repairs on light commercial and residential units.
  • Varied other tasks include moving furniture, assisting other tradesmen, painting, and general service work.
  • Complete service and inspection reports, work orders, timesheets and other required documents in a professional, accurate, neat and legible manner and submit same in a timely manner and in accordance with established guidelines
      

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in property management, HVAC service work or related field is required
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable to drive a company vehicle
  • Must be willing to occasionally work evenings or weekends when required.  Very little overtime. 
  • Must be able to pass the criminal background check required to work in educational facilities with children present
  • EPA certification, proficiency with a voltmeter, and overall understanding of HVAC systems are a plus

  • Extremely organized and be able to utilize the capacity of smartphone technologies
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills for research, communication, and recordkeeping

 

Physical:

  • This employment expects about 50% outdoor - 50% indoor work and typically requires long periods of standing
  • Must be able to work on lifts, scaffolding, tall ladders and also in crawl spaces and other confined areas
  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance

This position requires a smartphone. SFM will provide a phone, however, if the employee decides to continue using their personal phone for SFM business we will pay an allowance of $30 per month
