Middle West Spirits Grain Scale Operator

Middle West Spirits is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking scale operator. In this on-site role, you will be a valuable part of our grain operations team. This position reports to the Manager of Milling and Grain.
What to expect:
• Operating our grain elevator scale, scaling inbound/outbound grain trucks.
• Grading grain and ensuring compliance with state and federal grain requirements.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment with the ability to multi-task.
• Assists with managing sampling program.
• Must be customer oriented and provide a high level of customer service by being courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable as well as engaging team members.
• Performing basic administrative functions including but not limited to reviewing/ filing scale tickets, reconciling reports, etc.
• Works with Grain Merchandiser to manage farmer-owned inventory.
• Assists with logistics, shipping documents and billing.
• Have a strong understanding and practice of quality control measures.
• Can work well independently or with team members.
• Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Detail oriented, organized and able to multitask
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to perform physical duties which may include bending, lifting up to 25 lbs., kneeling, climbing, and twisting safety,
• Must have basic computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Perform mathematic computations.
• Must be able to work different shifts, weekends, and open to overtime.
